I learned how to knit when I was 9 years old. The story of how I learned to make knots with yarn appeared in a story in Highlights Magazine years ago. Since then I’ve shared this part gift, part talent with hundreds of people. I teach knitting and crochet. I teach teachers how to use yarn as a multi-sensory approach to reading and math. I take students to other countries to learn the impact textile arts have had on their cultures, histories, and even religious expression in a study abroad program. I knit for charity, and I sell select knit patterns and items on my Ravelry and Etsy stores. I tell stories with yarn. Can you tell? I ❤ yarn!
